Poly group marches in NYC Gay Pride Parade
For the first time in the 32 year history of Gay Pride Parades in New York City, a Polyamory banner flew down 5th Avenue on Gay Pride day.
Approximately a dozen and a half members of Polyamorous NYC proudly marched behind a fabulous black vinyl banner with brilliant rainbow lettering which said, "Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans & Poly: Together in Equality."
"This is just the beginning," says Justen Michael, founder of Polyamorous NYC. "There will more Poly people next year, and hopefully other Poly banners. The organizations are out there. They just need to be organized."
Members also distributed nearly 5,000 flyers about their group and upcoming Poly events to parade spectators.
