Tuesday, September 5th 2006 6th Annual Poly Pride Day in Central Park Polyamorous NYC will host the 6th Annual Poly Pride Day on Great Hill in Central Park, Sat., Oct. 7th from Noon to 6 p.m. For the first time, organizers are planning multiple events leading up to the big day. “Nuclear families are beginning to disappear. Non-traditional relationships, often involving three or more consenting adults are taking their place,” says Polyamorous NYC member, Barbara Foster. ”Poly Pride Day gives us an opportunity to publicly celebrate these non-traditional families.” Organizers encourage spectators to bring blankets, food, non-alcoholic drink, family & friends. The format for Poly Pride Day is a rally with speakers and entertainers. This year’s line up includes tango dancers, musical performances, and renowned relationship expert, Nan Wise. In support of the Rally, Polyamorous NYC is also hosting two fundraising events, a Cuddle Party™ the night before and a polyamorous dance on Saturday, September 23rd. Both events will be held at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center at 208 West 13th Street. (More info to follow.) Polyamorous NYC is a social group in New York City for people who have an interest in long-term, romantically committed, multiple partner relationships. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m. at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.
